Privacy Policy

This is the plain-English privacy policy for Samastam. We aim to collect as little data as possible, store nothing we do not need, and never sell anything.

What we collect

Tool inputs. Most of our tools run entirely in your browser. When you paste a GST number, upload a PDF, or type into a calculator, that data does not leave your device unless the tool explicitly says it calls an external API (for example, a government verification endpoint), in which case the page tells you up front.

Analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that record page views and aggregate counts but do not set cookies and do not identify individual users. We also use Google Analytics 4 to power Search Console reporting; GA4 may set cookies under your consent.

Newsletter. If you join our email list, we store the email address you give us and the date you joined. That is the only field we keep. We use a third-party email service (Buttondown or ConvertKit) to actually send the mail; their privacy policy applies on top of ours.

Contact email. If you write to us, we keep the email you send for as long as we need to answer it.

What we do not collect

We do not sell data. We do not run third-party advertising trackers across the site. We do not build profiles about you. We do not require accounts to use the free tools.

Affiliate links

Some tool pages link to third-party services (banks, accounting software, tax filing platforms). When you click those links and sign up, the third party may pay us a referral fee. The link itself adds a tracking parameter so the partner can attribute the signup; we do not see any of your personal information through these links.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete any information we hold about you. Email hello@samastam.xyz and we will action it within a reasonable time. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the one-click link in every email.

Children

Samastam is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we materially change this policy we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where the change is significant, post a note on the homepage.
